ABC Radio Wins Olympic Exclusive Contract Upsets Rivals
ABC Radio paid over 500000 dollars for the first exclusive Olympic broadcast contract. The eight page organizing committee rules impose a 3-3-3 limit on live on site reports, three minutes each, three hours apart, with unlimited off site reports. Rival networks object to committee control over what counts as news versus sports during the Los Angeles Games.
