Requests for zoning map changes come before Elyria council
Several more requests for changes in the proposed zoning map prepared by Legoe and Associates were presented to the Elyria City council. One change in the present map was voted down as residents protested the removal of the residential area south of the commercial zone along Cleveland street. Mike J. Guerra sought a zoning change for a Kenwood street lot to use as a parking lot but council rejected his bid to reclassify from B residence to B commercial. A council spokesperson said trees were removed from the public tree lawn without city permission and would be investigated. A petition to extend the downtown business zone to include Third street lots was continued to Page 2.
