Oberlin High Names Micah Tomlin as Next Principal
Oberlin High School will appoint Assistant Principal Micah Tomlin as principal next school year after Principal Brent Betts resigns. The Oberlin board also accepted the resignation of District Operations Director Jim Eibel, who has served the district over 15 years. Superintendent David Hall praised Betts and Eibel for their contributions to student growth and district projects including the Eastwood School property and new elementary and middle school buildings. The district will begin the search for a new assistant principal in coming weeks.

Four Injured In Eaton Township Crash At Intersections
Four people sustained minor injuries in a two car crash that left one vehicle overturned at the intersection of state Route 82 and state Route 83 in Eaton Township. The Medina post of the State Highway Patrol oversaw the investigation after the 12:30 p.m. crash. EMTs from Eaton and Columbia Township fire transported all injured. The cause remains under investigation.

Ohio State Troopers Cite 2,700 Plus For Belt And Seat Violations
Ohio troopers reported 2,631 safety belt citations and 83 child safety seat citations during the eight day 6 State Trooper Project involving Indiana Kentucky Michigan Pennsylvania West Virginia. Across the six states 6,863 belt violations and 401 child seat violations were issued. Museum note: North Ridgeville police handed out 400 burger vouchers to seat belt wearers at North Ridgeville High School as part of Buckle Up for Burgers coordinated with McDonald’s and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
