Hostage drama ends with terrorists slain in Kartal standoff
Turkish security forces killed one gunman and gravely wounded another in a third floor siege at a Kartal house after holding 14 year old Sibel Erkan hostage since Sunday. The girl was freed and reunited with her father as crowds called for the suspects to be lynched. The wounded gunman Munir Cayan and slain Huseyin Cevahir were wanted in connection with earlier anti Israel actions.

Hunter killed in Penfield by accidental shotgun discharge
A West Virginia man, 45, William Newman Messer Breeden of Breeden West Virginia, was killed instantly on a Penfield Township farm when a 12 gauge shotgun discharged while he hunted woodchucks with cousin Robert Messer. Deputy Moskal reported the weapon’s misfire and hair trigger.

Traffic deaths top estimates at Memorial Day period
