Bombers and Gunships Hit North Vietnam Troops in Cambodia
Hundreds of U S bombers and helicopter gunships attacked North Vietnamese divisions across eastern Cambodia. The heaviest strikes hit the division at Snoul near Saigon, where South Vietnamese losses included 74 missing in action and more than 200 killed or wounded as troops retreated from the rubber town. U S helicopters and B 52s supported, with reports of 250 helicopter missions and 45 fighter beams. In South Vietnam, ambushes near the DMZ and between Hue and Da Nang killed two Americans and wounded 10. Three U S armored vehicles were destroyed. seven Americans died in a crash near Saigon with undisclosed cause.

Airliner tires blow out injuring four at Cincinnati airport
A TWA 727 landing at Greater Cincinnati Airport in northern Kentucky blew two tires when the main gear locked on touchdown. Four people were injured during evacuation via emergency slides. three passengers and a flight attendant sustained injuries.
