Widow and Two Sons Perish in Blaze in Cleveland
In Cleveland a 36yearold widow Mrs Mary Monaco and her two sons, Car 8 and Tony 10, died in a second floor tenement fire. Fire warden Joseph Andrews called it murder or death by suicide given circumstances as both doors were open and the blaze started in the smouldering bed area. An elderly poolroom owner who had dealings with the widow was questioned and released.

Three Elyrians are among 259 who passed the recent Ohio State bar exam in Columbus. Lawrence Aschenbath, Harold Burns, and Robert Fauser, all Elyria High graduates, earned law degrees from Northern University Ada, University of Michigan, and Western Reserve University. A total of 383 applicants sat. 676 percent passed. Chief Justice Weygandt will swear in new bar members in August at Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus.
