Two Convicted Extortioners Confess
In New York on July 31 two convicted extortioners Hans Pfluger and Stephen Delage confessed to a probation officer that they tried to blackmail Doris Duke Cromwell the tobacco heiress. They and two others were sentenced to prison for attempting to extort five thousand dollars from Mrs. George A. Harris wife of a New York stock exchange governor. Pfluger called the conspiracy mastermind said they sent a threatening letter before Miss Duke married James R Cromwell demanding twenty five thousand dollars. Judge Morris Koenig sentenced Pfluger to three to seven years in Sing Sing. Arthur Ulisse received an indeterminate penitentiary term. Ralph Picarielli will be sentenced Friday.

Bicycle Crash Injures 15 Year Old Jack Yost
