Condominium hangars planned at county airport
Lorain County Regional Airport plans a two acre lease to Herb DeChant for a total of 20 condominium hangars south of Midwest Air Charter. Initial construction aims for October 5 with future hangars sold like condominium apartments. Airport manager notes few similar setups nationwide. Also approved was an FAA emergency plan for aircraft up to 44 passengers in case of disaster at Russia Road facility. Lorain County commissioners bought 1114 Middle Ave for a girls group home, eight to ten residents, 15 to 18 years, to open in fall with three care staff, a cook, and a social worker.
