In Oberlin, Common Pleas Court Judge Floyd Harris hears former Sgt. Eugene Barlow's appeal of an Oberlin Civil Service ruling upholding his dismissal for alleged malfeasance in the arson arrest of James F. Gilliam. A decision was expected within 10 days but has not been issued amid questions about delay and possible city reconsideration.
