Gasoline Explosion Burns Two Men At Farm
Two men were injured in a gasoline explosion at a farm in Columbia Township. Wilmer Zacharias, a threshing machine operator, suffered severe burns to his face and both arms, while a truck driver received a leg burn. The blast occurred while fueling the hot threshing engine from an oil truck, which had just delivered fuel. The machine and truck were moved away to prevent further ignition. The machine was operated by Zacharias and Henry Fosching. the truck was owned by Gross Oil Company.
