Elyria hospital trains staff on patient safety and evacuation
Elyria Memorial Hospital, with the Elyria Fire Department and Ohio Fire Marshal, held a three session in service program on fire safety and patient evacuation attended by about 225 employees. Charles Lilly from the state office led demonstrations of Chicago bureau methods for safe patient removal and extinguisher use. The program emphasized the hospital’s duty to patient safety beyond medical treatment.
