Teaching twins retire after 50 years in Toledo schools
Mabel and Mildred McGinity, identical twin teachers, retire from the Toledo school system and Mt. Vernon School after half a century in education. Spanning a policy that kept them apart until 1968, Mildred moved to Mt. Vernon while Mabel remained elsewhere. Irene Barnes, another McGinity daughter, had already retired after 43 years with the system.
