Elyria's 70 firefighters will gain a 15.7 percent raise over two years and parity with police on sick leave medical and life insurance benefits and clothing allowances. Lorain County budget requests top 57.5 million in 1982
Lorain County commissioners disclosed at a public hearing that 1982 appropriations total 57.5 million for all county government operations and departments, up from 41.5 million this year. General fund requests reach 19.5 million, about six point six million more than anticipated from taxes and fees. The body was found by her sister in an upstairs bed. a white scarf used to strangle her. Detectives reported no sign of struggle robbery or sexual assault and the rear apartment door was unlocked. Budget hearings reveal 1982 county needs and cuts
