Wall of Water Plunges Through Morrison Canyon Disaster
A ten foot wall of water roared down Bear Creek Canyon near Morrison Colorado after a mountain cloudburst. The flood swept cabins and autos from two towns, killing several and leaving at least fifteen missing. Rescuers checked roads by lantern light as phones failed and pontoon reports surfaced. Names identified include Vincent Soderman Eunice his wife and child among missing. Starbuck and Morrison bore the brunt with multiple victims and several unaccounted for.

Albert Dawson, 15, died from a bullet wound to the head after being shot by Wickliffe Patrolman Harry Truax as he fled with youths stealing watermelons from a truck in Painesville Ohio.
