Drainage troubles halt Columbia Township meeting

Trustees deny two Columbia zoning petitions on Squires Road

Two residents petitions to reclassify 15 acres on Squires Road from residential to commercial to permit a riding arena were denied by township trustees. The amendments would also add riding arenas to permitted uses in the commercial district, a move opposed by residents and recommended against by the Regional Planning Commission and Columbia zoning board.
