Niehous returns home after kidnapping ordeal
William F. Niehous, 48, executive at Owens-Illinois, spoke in Toledo Sunday about more than three years held by South American guerrillas. He said his family bore more strain than he did and recounted the moment Venezuelan officials delivered him to freedom after he was taken Feb 27, 1976 from Caracas. The executive described finding faith and trust upon seeing an Owens-Illinois lawyer who helped secure his release.

AmShip ends strike with four year contract deal
American Ship Building Co AmShip division Lorain workers will return within a week after unions ratified a four year contract by overwhelming margins. Boilermakers Local 358 president Paul Blanchette said more than 95 percent backed the pact, which raises hourly pay and cost of living benefits totaling about 3 60 over four years.
