Somers Agency hits century mark in Elyria Township

Somers Agency Inc marks 100 years in business this year, tracing its origins to 1898 as Morris Insurance Agency in Elyria. Howard B. Somers Sr. renamed the firm in 1918, now led by William O. Somers with a focus on property and casualty, life, and employee benefits. The agency expanded with an Oberlin office in 1986 and launched AutOhio in 1989 for high risk drivers.
