Oberlin Ohio wary of cash flow as the district moves to a fiscal year starting July 1 1986. Treasurer Jim Davis says borrowing up to 290000 may be needed due to delayed tax revenue from industrial equipment and a schedule to shift from calendar to fiscal year. The plan aims to keep borrowing under 100000 and repay within three years at about 7 percent interest. A public budget hearing is set for Tuesday at 8 p m.
A 17-year-old Eaton Township driver and his 20-year-old passenger Edward A. Kepler were nabbed after a high speed pursuit by sheriff's deputies and North Ridgeville police. The chase reached 75 mph and ended on Lorain Road near the Ohio Turnpike when cars boxed them in. both suspects were removed from the vehicle and hospitalized. The juvenile suffered a broken nose.
Cuyahoga County Community College offers motorcycle training for beginners and advanced riders through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Courses cost 75 dollars for eight hours of lectures and 12 hours of riding, with instructors volunteering their time. More than 400 students have completed the program, which attracts a diverse mix of ages and genders to promote safer riding.
