Elyria attorney John B. Hancock 52 of 120 Edison court died at Flyria Memorial Hospital at 8:25 am after a six month illness. Born July 7, 1899 in Elyria he lived here all his life and practiced law 20 years. He was a member of the First Methodist church Elks Lodge Masonic orders and Scottish Rite. Survived by widow Mamie Owen Hancock daughter Patricia Ann his mother four brothers and a sister. Funeral Thursday at 2 pm from Sudro Curtis Funeral Home with burial in Brookdale Cemetery.

Short Change Racket Operator Given Jail Term

Adjustment Worked Out On Paint Contract
County commissioners said a satisfactory adjustment has been reached with Wagenman Paint Co regarding 1300 gallons of traffic paint bought last February that proved unsatisfactory for the roads used.
