Class pals stomp out waste recycle money back to schools

Fourth graders Claire Landis and Katie Tyras organized a school can recycling project in Mark Bucher’s class at New London Elementary. They collect and wash cans each day, with proceeds going to the New London school district’s landscaping fund for the new complex. The first donation of 7.80 was accepted by the school board on January 18, and more funds will follow as long as the project continues. The Wakeman Lions celebrate one year of service and announce ongoing eyeglass and pep tab collections for charity and local centers.
