Poles Repair Plan Keeps City Light Network Standby

Three Fremont Boys Drown After Ice Breaks Sandusky River
In Sandusky County Ohio a man and team tried to rescue three Fremont boys ages 7 8 and 10 after they fell through ice on the Sandusky River. Temperatures near 45 degrees weakened the ice to under two inches as water depths reached about 10 feet. Firefighters recovered two victims and a diver retrieved the third after the trio remained in the river 60 to 90 minutes. The survivors include the 11 year old brother who watched.

Fires hit vacant four unit buildings in Lorain
Investigator Cuevas said another pre Christmas fire involved a vacant four unit building near the 814 N. Central fire. The torn down building joins the earlier blaze, while no suspects or motives are disclosed. The fire prevention bureau will draft a report for the police detective bureau.

City offers big tax breaks to lure small firms
