Avon welcomes Mickey Farmer to Ward 4 council seat
Mrs Mickey Farmer took the oath of office as Avon Ward 4 council representative, replacing James McHenry who moved away. A 19 year community activist and Century 21 agent, she aims to help Avon develop evenly. The council reviewed two subdivisions, approving Stone Rivers seven lots on Millis Road and rejecting Creekview 53 lots due to sewage connection rules. A work session was urged on tax reciprocity with Cleveland, and discussions touched on potential refunds for overcharges affecting the city.

Bridge lesson in a heart and club endgame
The article discusses a bridge deal where declarer should avoid a spade finesse. West leads diamonds. East cashes king before shifting. Declarer should play ace of spades, draw trumps, and attempt a heart finesse, discarding the queen of spades on the ace of hearts to make five clubs. A spade finesse risks the contract, so prioritizing five clubs is correct.
