The Lorain Jaycees will award three individuals at a 6:30 p.m. dinner meeting at St. John's Church Hall on 36th Street and Grove Avenue for outstanding city service during 1970. Speakers at the event will discuss the honorees' contributions.
The Northern Ohio Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will hold its annual meeting at 7 30 p m Monday at the Americana Inn on Rt 7. Guest speaker will be Jack Brauntuch of Greenwich Conn national field director for the society. He supervises national field staff and has served as a contributor to health conferences and as a consultant to health departments.
Lorain native John J. Hritsko, 42, filed his petition with the Lorain County Board of Elections for reelection to the city solicitor post held since 1966. An attorney since 1954, he also served as assistant Lorain City Prosecutor and was the first chief deputy and referee for the Lorain County Probate Juvenile Court. He is married to Joan Guzik. they reside at 1242 W. 38th St.
AP dispatch says Tanjug reports a 3,300-year-old city uncovered by the River Danube near Loma in northern Bulgaria. The site yielded 54 cremation urns, 38 smaller urns, 70 ceramic knives and tools, arrow heads, and other relics from ancient inhabitants.
