D W McLeod longtime captain of Pittsburgh Steamship Company vessels was killed in an automobile accident in Florida. He and his wife Helen Searles previously lived at 318 Fifth Street before moving to Miami Shores three years ago at his insistence. Word of the crash reached Mrs Paul Collins in Buffalo from Mrs I D Faxon now of Fort Lauderdale. Mrs Faxon said he had recovered after racing at Tropical Park when the accident occurred yesterday afternoon. Details of the wreck were not available.
