Fire damages home in Lorain on Denver Avenue
A house fire at 2801 Denver Ave in Lorain caused 16000 in damage to a two story brick and frame dwelling. Firefighter Joseph Pribanic was treated for a hand cut. the cause was listed as an overheated furnace and the electric clock stopped at 3 20 50. No occupants were home and ownership remains undetermined. Firefighters responded at 3 51 p m.

LaGrange youth charged with resisting arrest
In LaGrange, a 20 year old, John Phelps of 18237 Indian Hollow Rd, faced charges after police stopped a car on East River Street around 11 p.m. Saturday. He was charged with resisting arrest after a scuffle with officers and with permitting an undocumented driver to operate his vehicle and possessing an open container. Three juveniles, including two girls who were in the car driven erratically, were also reported. An open bottle of beer and wine was found in the vehicle.
