Lorain area vies for GM Saturn plant in Ohio

Lorain County officials, led by Lorain Mayor Alex Olejko, pressed GM in Columbus on a Saturn assembly plant to be sited near Cleveland. The $5 billion facility would employ 6,000 and produce 500,000 cars annually starting 1990, with land, water, highways, rail, and a tech training center as key criteria.
