Probate Court Location Debate Divides County Officials
County Administrator James Cordes says probate work should stay in the Administration Building to ease access for taxpayers who must visit auditor treasurer and recorder offices. Judges prefer keeping probate in the Justice Center amid plans to merge domestic relations and juvenile courts into a single family court. Up to $40,000 has already been spent on specialized probate office equipment. Contact Kristin Yarbrough at 329-7152 or kyarbrough chronicletelegram.com.
