Double murder and suicide in Lorain tied to suspected infidelity
Dr. Paul F. Tillman, Lorain county coroner, and officials concluded the case of Manuel Mattos 55, Mercedes Mattos 52, and Angela Romariez 18, who were killed with an ax and by Mattos after which he shot himself. Time of death set between 5 and 8 p.m. Thursday for the wife and 5:45 to 8 p.m. for the daughter. Mattos died by suicide after midnight Sunday, motive linked to alleged infidelity and deranged state. Cross atop church steeple lowered for repainting
