Daniel Clingaman, last surviving Civil War veteran in Ohio, died at 104 after a cerebral hemorrhage. Born Sept 25 186 in Seneca County he enlisted at 18 in Sheridan’s army. Explosion Damages Two-Story House on West Avenue
A gas explosion caused major damage to a two-story dwelling at 1828 West Avenue on Saturday evening. Escaping natural gas ignited after eight o clock, blowing siding from the front and south sides and damaging the space under a bathroom floor where a match struck.
