Former Court of Appeals Judge Funk Passes
Wooster funeral services were held for Ross W. Funk 84 longtime Court of Appeals judge who died Sunday at his home after a week of illness. Funk served on the Ninth District Court from 1922 to 1936, was chief justice in his final year, and later opened a Wooster office with his son Daniel Furs. He was Wayne County prosecutor from 1939 to 1947 and a Republican party figure. Survived by his wife, children, and two grandchildren.
