The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning from 7 a.m. today to 7 p.m. Wednesday with low pressure moving in overnight. Snow begins near rush hour and will continue with 2 to 4 inches today, 3 to 5 inches tonight, plus more snow Wednesday. Firefighters urge clearing hydrants.
Lorain City Auditor Ron Mantini told the Finance Committee that the 2010 general fund may rise by about 6.5 million dollars mainly from grant money already earmarked for projects. Mayor Tony Krasienko cautioned that 2009’s tight finances could repeat.
