Trial Opens In Lorain Child Abuse Case Involving Gibbs
Assistant prosecutor Stephanie Malanowski opened the case against 24 year old Devante Gibbs in Sheffield Township accusing him of holding the girl against her will and abusing her while babysitting. The mother testified Gibbs blamed a too hot bath and attempted CPR after the incident left the child in a coma with trauma evidence later linked to sexual abuse and infection.
