Opel and Kadett models gain improved ride and steering with wider wheels and revised gear ratios. New exterior colors and refinements include a redesigned ventilation system ignition upgrades and optional wood-grain trim. Opel GT adds retractable headlights and a storage tray with an anti lift wiper new power options and engines up to 102 hp.
Plymouth adds Sport Fury GT Cuda and Valiant Duster 340 joining Road Runner and GTX. The new 440 cubic inch engine with six barrel carb offers 390 horsepower on Road Runner and GTX, plus Hemi and 383 options. Duster 340 emphasizes performance per dollar with low cost and strong speed.
Dodge announces a major styling and engineering refresh for the 1970 Coronet family, led by the Coronet Deluxe in multiple body styles. Changes include a 3 inch longer body, 117 inch wheelbase, revised front and rear ends, new deck lid and taillight design, black paint accents on select models, and optional six or V eight engines.
The outline lists five body styles with two and six and eight cylinder engines. Three seat wagons and two door variants will be offered. A coupe hardtop and a four door sedan will join the Coronet 500, adding luxury to the series.
The Lorain County Automobile Show features high line two and three seat wagons with option packages and a specially trimmed four two door hardtop convertible door sedan on display for prospective buyers.
