Local Church to Welcome New Pastor

The Elyria Church of Christ will greet its new minister Rev. wm. C. Fowler tomorrow. Fowler comes from the Island Christian Church of Wheeling and begins after Rev. W L Burner’s resignation. Morning sermon titled Jesus Stood in the Midst. Evening sermon on Melchizedek and Abraham with And He Blessed Him as the subtitle. Expected record attendance for the installation and worship services.

Death rate lower in Ohio in first ten months of 1926

Ohio recorded 69,854 deaths in ten months, a rate of 209 per 1000 population, down from 4.5 in 1926. Fewer infant deaths overall but infantile paralysis up. Homicides rose from 412 to 523, personal crisis reports from 703 to 737, and auto and street gas fatalities edged higher.
