Mrs. George H. Chamberlain celebrated her ninetieth birthday at home in Elyria Ohio amid memories of early Ohio life. Born December 27 1837 in LaGrange Township she recalls wild turkeys geese and a dollar buying much. She joined the Methodist church at age eleven and has lived in Ohio long enough to know the old Cragin farm still stays in the family. She is mother to four children William Grafton George H Charles C and Emma Jane two died in infancy and one at age 12.

Frederick L. Wacker of Elyria dies at 5 p.m. Sunday at Elyria Memorial Hospital after a calf injury in a stable on December 24. Born August 9, 1862 in Mecklenburg-Strelitz Germany, he immigrated in 1881, worked in quarries and bridges, and helped build several local structures. He married Dora Simms in 1884 and left a large family including Albert, Mrs. Kimo Mo, Martha Lehman, and others in Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia, and Cleveland.
