A Parma Heights man, 64, died at the scene after his 2008 Kia collided with a dump truck at the Route 83 and 303 intersection in Grafton Township Tuesday shortly after 12:50 p.m. Lorain County Coroner says death was by impact.

Avon man flown to hospital after I-90 crash with disabled vehicle
Avon police say Scott Gibson, 40, drove off the westbound lane of I-90 near Route 611 at about 3:30 p.m. and struck a disabled 1995 Ford Escort on the berm. Escort driver Michael Veninshek, 53, of Sheffield Lake, had walked away from the vehicle.

Arson Suspected In Allstate Insurance Office Fire
Elyria police and firefighters investigated an early Tuesday fire at the Allstate Insurance office on Lake Avenue causing about 20000 in damages. A passerby saw a broken window and smoke entering the building. No injuries were reported.

Prison guard indicted on records tampering charges
