Lorain Woman Dies After Knife Attack in Quarrel
Angela Kuma a 41 year old Lorain resident died from knife wounds following a quarrel over a delayed Christmas dinner. Samuel Latovich 40 a boarder at the Kuma home is not expected to live after injuring Kuma and possibly himself or Andrew Kuma her husband. Police report Latovich attacked after an argument and a thrown glass. Witnesses include daughter Stephanie 16 and Theodore Kuma survivor son of Angela Kuma. Funeral services set for 9 am Thursday at the Church of the Nativity with Rev I J Dombrowski officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.

J C Murphy of 153 Erie street was struck while crossing Cleveland street near Abbe road at 9 10 p m Sunday. Both legs fractured below the knees and he was taken to Memorial hospital. The striking car was driven by E C Thompson of Detroit. Several minor automobile collisions were reported to police including two on West avenue and Second street and a tire incident on East avenue.

The Amherst jewelry shop of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Avery on Childs Street was burglarized Sunday at about 3 15 am. Thieves smashed the window with a rock and fled in a sedan. About $300 worth of rings and wrist watches were taken. A suspicious man had visited the store the previous day. This is the third burglary in ten years.
