The B F Goodrich Company signs a contract to take over The I T S Company property including land buildings equipment molds inventory receivables patents and trademarks and to dissolve The I T S Company after final stockholder ratification at a December 29 Elyria meeting. Eisenhower Pushes Deeds Over Words for Korea Peace

President-elect Eisenhower urged a policy of deeds rather than words to entice Reds toward peace in Korea after a 20,000 mile overseas trip. He said the journey marks a beginning toward an honorable end to the war and cautioned success will require common sense patience and foresight. Congress welcomed his stance with applause and some senators praised the approach as prudent and effective.

Juvenile suspects eyed in Sheffield Street burglaries

Two Sheffield township homes on School street were broken into and ransacked, with jewelry, cash and small items stolen. Sheriff Deputy Joseph Guzik reported muddy footprints at both sites and estimated losses of $45 in Palagyi jewelry plus small sums from the Jones residence.

Workers Strike At Electro Alloys Division

Nearly all production workers at the Electro Alloys Division of the American Brake Shoe Co plant walked out this afternoon. Plant manager W F Kelly said about 230 workers were on strike, members of the AFL Molders and Caremakers Union. Fifteen to 18 workers from another union remained at work. The walkout followed a grievance over suspensions for low productivity and no negotiations were scheduled.

In northwest Korea over MIG Alley, Sabre pilots said they damaged 10 MiG-15 fighters in air battles. The 5th Air Force confirmed only two claims, with others awaiting gun camera confirmation.

Man Admits Burglary Tailing Paint Brush Theft

Elyria police tracked a burglar from a store break in at O'Donnell Wallpaper and Paint on Lodi Street to a brush sale inquiry at Davis Cafe. Warren L. Holman Jr. of the New York Central railroad camp confessed to knowing the brush source but denied entering the store, with further details continued on Page 2.

Woman Accused Of Taking Money In Child Adoption Case

Bernice Heston 56 of Amherst bound to the Lorain County grand jury on a $2,500 bond for allegedly obtaining $200.20 by false representation in a baby adoption case. The former welfare investigator pleaded innocent. six other cases totaling over $2,000 are suspected.

Car Plunges From Route 58 Embankment Near Sugar Hill

A car driven by James T. Martin of Columbia Kentucky left Route 58 near Sugar Hill and plunged down an embankment Saturday evening. Randall Tarter, 22, of Columbia, Kentucky rode with him. Both escaped injury. The vehicle sustained heavy damage to one side. Martin had set his ship at Lorain and was southbound to his home.

Fifty five miners were trapped at a depth of 400 feet after a tunnel caved in at a gold mine in Paracale, southeastern Luzon. The incident was reported by the Philippines News Service.

Two Hurt In Route 82 Head On Collision

A late Sunday evening head on crash on Route 82 east of Wellington injured two drivers, Earl Zurschmit of Monroe and Leo A. Pazybylaski of Detroit. Injured passenger Mrs Ruth Zurschmit received treatment for facial lacerations and minor injuries. Pazybylaski, 24, may have chest injuries. Zurschmit was fined $10 and costs for reckless driving.

Three persons were badly hurt when a car driven by Willie E. King veered off a ditch and struck a utility pole on Stoney Ridge road two miles north of Route 20. Seven persons sustained injuries in a Saturday 4:59 p m crash on the high level bridge over the Black River in Lorain. Mutiny on Pongam Island Kills and Wounds Many

UN guards in Pongam Island Camp No 10 near Pusan Korea killed 82 Communist internees and wounded 120 others as a six compound mutiny broke out. About 3,600 of 9,000 internees took part while rocks were hurled and three riot waves faced guard fire. Un officials said orderly control was restored after warning shots and riot guns failed to deter the mob.
