The North Ridgeville school board voted to participate in a Title V data processing project to run next year, aiming to improve scheduling, grade reporting and payrolls. A resolution to join the county central purchasing plan for 1969 was adopted, with savings noted by the district.
Retiring Justice Paul M. Herbert will swear in his son Thomas M. Herbert as Ohio Supreme Court justice. The ceremony marks the first time a son directly succeeds a father on the high bench. The elder Herbert leaves after 41 years in law and public service. Thomas, 41, moves from Franklin County Court of Appeals to the Supreme Court.

Residency requires actual city residence with parents or guardians.
New London Township trustees report about 25 residents showed interest in a private hauler offering house to house rubbish collection for 2 per month per home. If enough sign up, the service would manage records and collections. otherwise residents must haul trash to the Huron County landfill after Jan 1 when the village dump closes.
