Boy hero helps two boys from icy river
A 11 year old Kevin Trumble saved two boys by pulling them from the Black River while sledding near Grafton Road. He learned the rescue from his father Elyria Fire Department Lieutenant Jack Trumble and used a long stick to pull them out. The two rescued boys did not share their names or thank him afterward. Kevin is a fifth grader at St. John Lutheran School.
