Boerger deemed competent to stand trial in embezzlement case
Former Ohio treasurer’s cashier Elizabeth Boerger 49 is charged with theft in office and tampering with public records for crimes between 1977 and 1980. A court-ordered psychiatric report says she fears mental hospital but is capable of understanding proceedings. The judge set a March trial date and plans to move the case from Franklin County due to publicity.
