Carter certification delayed by fraud suit in Ohio
Secretary of State Ted W. Brown said he will not certify Jimmy Carter’s 11,116 vote Ohio win over Gerald Ford until a civil vote fraud suit is resolved by U.S. District Court Judge Joseph Kin Neary. The recount, funded by the state, reduced Carter’s margin to 11,116 of more than 4.1 million votes.
