Bowman Green car man sues over paid license bill

Four years ago Richard Fleming a Bowling Green car salesman became a deputy registrar for Ohio. He and his family now live in Venice Florida after an “embarrassing mess” with the BMW over a 1035.90 truck plate payment he says he didn’t owe, paid three years earlier. In 1973 Fleming directed a testmaster check to Columbus for the BMW. He was later sued by the state attorney general for 3168.24 with the Testmaster payment listed as missing.

Rhodes admits he heard of BMW troubles in 1975

Gov James A Rhodes acknowledged receiving petitions and letters about alleged mismanagement in Ohio's Bureau of Motor Vehicles early in 1975. He said he forwarded messages to the department head and noted a policy to alert the governor to serious issues. A former highway safety director and Curtis Andrews were involved in the related administrative actions.

Snow Favoritism in Snow Pattern Drops Inches in County

An isolated band of lake effect snow moved through southwestern Cuyahoga County dropping up to six inches in Olmsted Township and Berea while Lorain County saw little. Bay Village to the east collected less, with about an inch along Lake Erie. Medina County roads were slick with 3 to 4 inches, and western Cuyahoga County roads were slippery though passable. The National Weather Service forecast light flurries by afternoon and non accumulating snow tomorrow with mid-20s to low-30s temperatures.
