Elyria recorded its second fire fatality of 1930 when Anna May Williams, 43, died from burns after an inflammable cleaning fluid exploded while being used to clean a dress at her home at 135 School Street. Her 16 year old son Lawrence escaped as flames spread, the interior of the frame house burned, and losses were about 3000 dollars. Funeral set for Tuesday at Second Congregational Church. Williams is survived by husband Albert A Williams mother Mrs Cora Bemis and four children.
