Bergdoll Gold Remains Hidden in Mountains
Washington Aug 30 The Bergdoll gold buried by Grover Cleveland in the Maryland and West Virginia mountains remains undisturbed and safely hidden. Col Thomas W Miller and William J Burgh, government investigators, reported that a Hoax claim by a Hagerstown laborer unearthed a single Bergdoll coin but the outer story is false. The government will continue to search but any recovered gold would belong to the United States.
