In Johnstown Pennsylvania a midnight riot in the Rosedale area leaves County Detective John A. James Special Officer Joseph Abraham and Leo A. Young dead. Firing squad executes Gardner for Deputy Stuart murder
George Gardner, condemned for the murder of Deputy Sheriff Gordon Stuart, was executed by a state firing squad at 6:29 a m in Salt Lake City.
