Sturges Reelected by Co op on Fire Lands Board
Herbert Sturges elected by the Fire Lands Electric Cooperative Board to replace the late Preston Golding. He will represent New London north of East Main and West Main Streets. Term ends December 1971. Sturges, a former banker and teacher, lives in New London with wife Martha and two sons. He has long served in banking associations and church activities. Charleston case: Charles Adkins sues Appalachian Power Co. for 100000 over failed alarm clock during a 1969 power outage, causing job loss and union membership loss.
