Wheat Crop To Be Big Says Babson
Chicago August 26 Stoger W Babson arrived after a Northwest trip voicing optimism on 1927 crop prospects from Wisconsin to Washington and Oregon. He cited record storage demand, strong rail revenue from grain movements, and surging farm machinery sales as signs of a bumper year with oats corn wheat barley rye and flax likely exceeding five year averages by about 20 million bushels. He warned corn may still face frost risk and urged diversified farming to sustain prosperity.
