Elyria Man Jailed in Blind Piano Tuner Murder
An 18 year old Elyria man, Clarence Sauer of 15 Chestnut Street, was arrested on a charge of murder in the death of 23 year old blind piano tuner Larry Reagan. Reagan’s body was found Sunday evening beneath an abandoned railway waiting area at East Avenue and Depot Street, near concrete stairs and a white cane spotted by two passersby. Coroner Dr. William Kishman ruled blunt head trauma from concrete caused Reagan’s death, with police attributing the fatal blow to the head. Sauer was nabbed by Elyria detectives around 4 am and was to be arraigned in Elyria Municipal Court. Reagan, a Pioneer School graduate, lived alone and worked part time as a piano tuner at the Perkins School of Piano Tuning and Technology.
