Defense lawyers said jurors in the four day murder trial of Joseph Parsons and Kevin McDowell told them they would have acquitted the pair for the June 29 1985 death of Richard P James if not for Lorain County Common Pleas Court Judge Adrian Bedleski stepping in to grant acquittal.
